Convocation 2009

Each year, City Seminary begins the academic calendar with a Convocation Service. The purpose of the service is for pastors from the local community to preach the "charge" to the students and to the faculty. The Board of Governors' expressed desire is that the local church will help hold the seminary accountable to her mission, and to the eternal standards of our shared, orthodox Christian faith.

The Convocation Service was held on September 11, at 7:30 PM. Here are some video clips from the City Seminary 2009 Convocation. Reddit Andrew's church (Soaring Oaks Presbyterian Church in Elk Grove) delivered the charge to the faculty. He exhorted them to not only train the students in the doctrines of our most holy faith, but to do so in love. The video clip provides part of his message.
